114 — Ron Evans, 17 Ektachrome slides from his journey in Los Angeles 1966.

In November of 1966 I was in Los Angeles passing through on my way to Camp Pendleton. Burning up some time between stops, I spent a night at the Ambassador... The Ambassador was indeed a Grand Hotel...

If I had ever dreamed that the old Ambassador would ever come down I would have taken more pictures of it but at the time it seemed "just there" and a nice place to stay. I traveled to Los Angeles in the mid nineteen eighties and stayed at the hotel again. Clean but getting seedy she was a proud building that stood the test of time well. You knew by her feel that "SHE HAD CLASS"!
